Expressing God’s Love through the Food Pantry Outreach
The Bass Memorial Academy Church Food Pantry has 400 registered families and serves an average of 4,000 pounds of food each month. Beneficiaries include unemployed, underemployed, victims of domestic abuse, elderly, homeless, persons with health challenges, and persons experiencing disaster/tragedy.
A food pantry is a labor of love. Volunteers from the church as well as students from the academy help assist with the willingness to help serve in their community.
"Let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of other." (Philippians 2: 3,4)
On the 4th Sunday of the month, the church hands out food boxes from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
